NewView Oklahoma has been a life-changing source of hope and empowerment for Oklahomans living with blindness and visual impairment for more than 60 years.  Our history is divided below into two sections: Industry & Evolution, and Historic Headquarters.   

 

 

NewView Oklahoma – formerly known as the Oklahoma League for the Blind – was officially chartered on November 30, 1949 by six Oklahomans who shared a common goal of improving the lives of the blind and visually impaired.

The white, 5-story building on the western edge of downtown Oklahoma City we’ve called home since 1973 was once recognized as the most beautiful working brewery in the world.
